Denver Mycology Meetup

🚨🍄 Update for the August meetup:

We will be having a BBQ and park evening with several other mycology communities this August 16th from 4-7 in Prospect Park, Lakewood for this month's meetup! There will be potluck style food.

The coffee joint will still be open during the day, update your calendars for the new barbeque time during the evening! Hope to see you all soon.

🍄 The Denver mycology meetup is a local social gathering for experts and new growers alike to come together over the hobby we love. Learn how to grow mushrooms, discuss your results with friends, and dive into the science and community of mycology. We meet on the third Saturday of each month from 12 til 2 at The Coffee Joint.

🌟 Free supplies to get started! If you don't know what you're doing, we love to teach and help people get started. If you have experience we would love to have your wisdom at the table. Gourmet, active, or decorative, we welcome all species.

🎄 What makes a better gift than some fresh (or dried) fungus? It's time to get started if you want to have gifts for the holiday season!

Mycelium is welcome. Please no sourcing or selling active substances. TCJ is 21+ with ID.

This June let's get down to business. Bring some grain and challenge yourself to take your skills to a new level. Grow a culture you haven't attempted before, learn a new technique, or 1-up your precious environmental conditions.

Suggestions include:

👉 DIY your own grain this month.

🪵🍄 Grow shiitake or another wood-loving mushroom

🧫 Learn to make or use agar petri dishes

Good luck! Clean spawn, lots of air, let's get some cool mushrooms 😁

Come chill with other mycologists, listen to music, and check out the fruits of this spring's grow a long. Dried and fresh mushrooms are suggested as conversation pieces.
