Shoutout to Jessica Cabral, Ruby Cecenas, and Sara Victoria Alvarez from the class of 2022 for stopping by campus to reconnect with teachers and explore some of the spaces they once roamed as students! All three of these incredible women are continuing to make a difference as they pursue their education and prepare for meaningful careers. They are truly living out Mullen’s mission of “Entering to Learn and Leaving to Serve.” Jessica is currently attending graduate school at Hawaiʻi Pacific University-Las Vegas, where she is studying Occupational Therapy. Ruby is pursuing her graduate degree at CU Denver, studying Behavioral Therapy, while Sara is also attending graduate school at CU Denver, where she is studying Environmental Science. It was wonderful to see all three of them back on campus and hear about the incredible paths they are pursuing. They were thrilled to see the amazing resources available to today’s students and excited to see our Mustangs taking full advantage of those opportunities—both in the classroom and in athletics. We are so proud of you, ladies, and all that you are accomplishing! Keep making a difference and representing Mullen with pride. We can’t wait to see you all again soon! 💙💛🐎

Huge shoutout to Jelena Vigil class of 2021 for stopping by campus to tour our upgraded facilities and reconnect with some of her favorite teachers! Jelena has been part of the Mullen community from a young age, following in the footsteps of her older siblings, who also attended Mullen and loved their time here. She recently graduated from UNLV and has returned home to Denver, where she is now dedicating her time to training and mentoring young boxers after officially stepping away from her own boxing career. Jelena’s love for Mullen runs deep, and she is incredibly proud to be a Mustang. We’re grateful she took the time to come back to campus, reconnect with the community, and see all that is happening at Mullen. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for her! Shoutout to Andy Lindahl class of 1992 for stopping by campus today to speak with our leadership team and students about his career, the sports media industry, and the importance of giving back! Andy has more than 25 years of experience in sports radio and is passionate about storytelling and covering the world of sports. He is perhaps best known for his work with Altitude Sports Radio and his involvement in various media ventures through Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. Andy’s love for Mullen remains strong, and he looks forward to helping our students explore opportunities in the media world, including internships, career pathways, and hands-on experiences. Huge shoutout to Imani Perez class of 2022 for stopping by campus today! Imani was very impressed with some of the recent facility upgrades and especially enjoyed reconnecting with one of her former teachers and coaches, Ms. Liz Hamer ’11. Imani recently signed a professional women’s basketball contract to play overseas in Portugal! 🇵🇹🏀 During her time at Mullen, she was a four-time State Champion and an integral part of the team’s success. Imani went on to study and play basketball at the University of Hawaiʻi, where she earned a degree in Kinesiology. During her collegiate career, she was a three-time All-Big West selection, a three-time Big West All-Defensive Team honoree, and a member of the Big West All-Freshman Team. She was also recognized with a Team Defensive Award, served as team captain, and was named team MVP. The 6-foot-4 forward is destined for greatness, and we couldn’t be prouder of Imani and all she has accomplished. Congratulations on signing your first professional contract, Imani! We wish you the very best as you begin this exciting next chapter of your career. We can’t wait to see you back on campus again soon! 💙💛🐎

A huge shoutout to Dan Hamilton, Dave Keefe, and Sal Rivera from the Class of 1966 for putting together an amazing four-class reunion this past weekend! The celebration brought together the Classes of 1965, 1966, 1967, and 1968 for a memorable afternoon filled with laughter, great conversation, and plenty of nostalgia. The reunion took place at the original Brooklyn’s Downtown, owned by Dave Keefe, and featured plenty of food, drinks, stories, and memories from the good old Mullen days. We even had some Mullen Hall of Famers in the building, including Jim Deidel ’67. It was especially great to hear Jim share stories from his professional baseball career in Major League Baseball. Thank you, Dan, Dave, and Sal, for bringing everyone together and creating such a special experience. We look forward to seeing many more alumni reunions take place during Alumni Weekend 2026! Job well done, Mustangs! 💙💛🐎

⚾Here we have a snapshot of the Mullen High School baseball team, taken sometime between 1931 and 1950. The Christian Brothers had just opened the doors in 1931, and from that point on, students started collecting more than just batting averages and algebra homework. They picked up lessons in faith, discipline, teamwork, and the fine art of helping out when someone needed a hand.

The Brothers have been at it at Mullen for almost a hundred years now, helping turn students into leaders with character. This team was more than just a roster; they were part of a tradition that still gives Mullen its unique spirit today.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the rededication of the Hutchison Fieldhouse. We were honored to be joined by family, friends, and alumni as we came together to celebrate the life, legacy, and lasting impact of Buck Hutchison and his family. The Hutchison Fieldhouse has long been an important part of the Mullen High School community, serving as a home for Mustang athletics, school events, practices, and countless memories. More than just a facility, it represents the tradition, dedication, and spirit that have helped shape generations of Mullen students and athletes. Thank you to the Hutchison family for your continued dedication, generosity, and unwavering support of Mullen High School. Shoutout to Bryce Kamstra class of 2018 for stopping by campus! Bryce was thoroughly impressed by some of the recent facility upgrades, saying, “This is next level. We didn’t have any of this during my time.” Currently, Bryce is pursuing his doctorate in nursing at the University of Miami, with plans to become a nurse practitioner and specialize in anesthesiology. He credits Joey Mahmood as a major influence in his decision to pursue this field, especially because of the knowledge and experiences he gained during his time at Mullen. Congratulations to Trevor Moore class of 2022 on recently signing a contract with the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball! ⚾️ During his time at Mullen, Trevor earned two-time All-State honors, was named First Team Academic All-State, and was a two-time Centennial League Player of the Year. He also helped lead Mullen to two Centennial League conference titles and was ranked as the No. 3 pitcher in the state of Colorado. Trevor continued his baseball career at Stanford University, where he became a Pac-12 Champion and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, was named to the ACC All-Academic Team twice, and was recognized on the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll. Congratulations on this incredible achievement, Trevor! We are proud to see you continuing to represent Mullen at the highest level. Keep up the great work! 💙💛🐎

Congratulations to Katy DeNezza class of 2022 on recently winning the National Championship with her rugby team at UC Santa Barbara! 🏆 Katy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, along with minors in Education and Architecture. She plans to travel before beginning her career as a high school mathematics teacher. We are incredibly proud of you, Katy, and all that you have accomplished!
