Field day was full of joy, teamwork and Dragon energy! Thank you to our students, staff, families and volunteers for making the day such a wonderful celebration of community, movement and putting good into the world. Special thanks to Coach Tower for planning such a joyful event!

Tomorrow is our very first Alumni Clap-out! If you are a High School graduate this year and you attended Izzi B during elementary school, we want you and your family members to join us!
The rest of the Izzi B community is welcome to celebrate our first little dragons on this milestone as well!

This week, Isabella Bird had the absolute joy of welcoming Quinn Williams as Principal for the Day!

Quinn stepped into the role with truly exemplary leadership qualities. She thinks ahead, looks for ways to improve everything around her, multitasks like a champ, and naturally notices how stronger communication can help prevent problems before they happen.

Throughout the day, Quinn led with confidence, kindness, and purpose. She helped lead our final assembly, introduced our new Assistant Principal, Brent Westrop, supported the meet and greet with Mr. Westrop, tackled Good Things Friday, selected the classroom winners for the ECO Buddy Award and Innovative Izzi Award, helped choose our Staff Member of the Week, delivered gratitude notes to teachers, and even read a book to a classroom — Why Not? — a perfect and apropos message for a leader who already sees possibility everywhere.

Quinn reminded us that leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about paying attention, lifting others up, thinking creatively, and asking, “Why not make it better?”

We are so proud of you, Quinn. Thank you for leading our Dragon community with heart, vision, and joy.

Staff Spotlight: Ali Alhilo

Today we are celebrating our incredible Student Support Liaison, Ali Alhilo!

Ali brings never-ending optimism to our school community and approaches every interaction through a relationship-centered, student asset-based lens. He sees the brilliance, possibility, and humanity in every student, and his steady presence helps students feel known, valued, and supported.

Ali is beloved by so many in our community, and we are deeply grateful for the joy, care, and connection he brings to our school each day. Thank you, Ali, for helping our students shine!

A huge thank you to Music for Life for generously donating two left-handed acoustic guitars to our school! 🎸
