The Denver Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was present and accounted for at this years 104th Middle Western Province Council meeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

We had an amazing time yesterday at the Kappa Alpha Psi National Day of Reading held at the Montclair School of Academics & Enrichment. The administrators and students were thrilled to have us visit. Nine brothers participated, reading to children in four different classrooms ranging from Early Childhood Education (ECE) through second grade. At the conclusion of the event we distributed 95 books to each child who participated yesterday.

We read the children's book, You Are An Artist, written by our own Joseph Graves, Jr., who also led the discussions and activities. If you would like to purchase a copy for your family or network, please visit the link below:

The school was so appreciative of our visit that we are already discussing future opportunities for the Denver Alumni to provide support.

This honor is a testament to our commitment to achievement, service, and excellence—and marks Denver’s return to its winning ways among the Middle Western Province’s most high-achieving chapters.

Middle Western Province

The Denver Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in the Inaugural National Day of Reading, joining Chapters nationwide in promoting literacy and education.

The Chapter engaged students at Hallett Academy and Marie L. Greenwood Academy, with efforts led by educator and teacher Brother Darryl Keeton. Brothers shared the joy of reading by presenting Daddy’s Cowboy Capers, a captivating children’s book written and illustrated by Brother Joseph Graves. The chapter through the work of the Denver Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation each school will be donated their own copies of Brother Graves book for the children to enjoy.

This initiative reflects Kappa Alpha Psi’s enduring commitment to inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning in our communities.
