Happy Thursday! We are wrapping up our senior shoutouts and we can’t wait to share pictures from graduation. But before then let’s celebrate Abuk Edwang! Abuk came to CLA in January and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know her and we only wish we could have had her for a longer period of time. She worked really hard to accomplish what she needed to for graduation and has many aspirations for her future. She lights up every room she walks into and is always up for being a good friend. Congratulations to you and we are glad you picked CLA!

Good morning! We have a couple more seniors to celebrate for the class of 2026! Our shout out today goes to Ka’mya Fitz. Ka’mya is a bright light among her friends, family, and staff and always shows up with a smile. You can often find her doing a TikTok or with her head down getting lots of work done in classes and we will miss the wise conversations. As Ka’mya paves her next path we know she is ready to take on the world. Thank you for giving so much to our community and we hope you visit! Congratulations!

Good afternoon! The halls are a little quieter today as seniors are done. We are often lucky enough to have siblings come through our doors. Today we are celebrating Qur’an Nobles. Sometimes students quietly enter our doors in the morning and quietly leave in the afternoon and that is Qur’an. Although quiet, he has made a great impact in classes and with staff members. Always kind, always thoughtful, has a fierce love for his family, and he is not afraid of what the future holds for him. He is still undecided on his plans for next year but is looking forward to working while he figures it out! Congratulations to you!

Good afternoon! The halls are a little quieter today as seniors have officially left. All the smiles between yesterday and today are what keeps educators going. Our senior today is Christiano Marquez! We have known Christiano for three years and were lucky enough to have him pick CLA for his senior year. He was the captain of our basketball team and led with poise and confidence. His kind heart shows up in all he does and will miss having him at CLA. Best of luck to you!!!

LAST DAY for CLA Seniors! We have some seniors who are all done with classes and a couple wrapping things up. Today we are recognizing DeJuan Wright. We have been fortunate to have him for the last four years and are very excited to see him walk the stage tomorrow. He has given so much to our community through basketball and class participation and we will really miss him. He has many aspirations for his future and wouldn’t be surprised if he owned his own business. In the future he would love to travel to Hawaii and is looking forward to life after graduation!

Happy Tuesday! It is a great day to be a senior at CLA! They are down to two school days left. Today we are recognizing Arcelia Sandoval. We have been lucky enough to have her at CLA this year. She is quiet and kind and makes others around her feel immediately at ease. This semester she has participated in an internship through The Village and has been really helpful with all the families it serves. Our only wish is that we had her for longer than this year. Thank you for giving so much to our community! Best of luck!

Good afternoon! IT IS GRADUATION WEEK and we are so excited! Today we are excited to celebrate a senior who is charming, thoughtful and resilient…Isabella Nuanes. We have been grateful to have Bella for the last three years and she has given so much to the community at CLA. She has participated in volleyball and has created great content for our Audio Video Production classes. She is looking forward to starting school at Emily Griffith for cosmetology next year and maybe just maybe someday you will be lucky enough to have her good cooking! Congratulations to you! We are proud!

Happy Friday CLA Family! We are about halfway through senior presentations and it is so neat to see what students talk about how they are going to change the world and see what kind of impact they can have. Today’s spotlight is Divine (DK) Kale. We have had DK for two years and he is full of energy and a natural leader among his classmates. He adds valuable insight into classes and has built confidence academically. DK is interested in becoming a streaming and making a positive impact on his community. In addition to streaming he is interested in being a Real Estate Agent and participated in many field trips. We will miss his laugh in the halls and wish the best for his next chapter!

We are in the middle of our senior presentations and let us tell you…our seniors are going to step into young adulthood and change the world. Today we are looking forward to celebrating Tjay Lujan. We have been grateful to be part of Tjay’s journey. He has dealt with a lot of adversity in high school and he has dug in and come out braver and stronger. He has a plan for his future and is the biggest go-getter! Tjay is interested in becoming an electrician and also a barber with both of those things already in the works. Tjay’s love for his family is apparent in all he does and is excited to be the first one in his family to graduate! We are proud of you!

The excitement is building as we continue to get closer to the last day of school for seniors! Today we are honoring Ms. Giselle Martinez-Hernandez. We were lucky enough for Giselle to come to CLA this year. In her time here we have seen her dedicate herself to school and what she can do academically. She has shown when she puts her mind to something she can do anything. This summer she will be participating in an internship and is looking forward to exploring career opportunities in cosmetology or a trade. When asked to share your favorite quote or motto Giselle said, “be yourself”. She shows up authentically every day and we value her so much! Can't wait to see where your next chapter takes you! Best of luck!
