April is , so we're sharing all the reasons why exercise is an amazing stress reducer. π₯ Did you know that exercise is an active form of meditation? π§πΎββοΈ
Excess stress can cause your body to release more of the stress hormone, cortisol. Cortisol produces inflammatory chemicals called cytokines, which can disrupt sleep, cause brain fog and increase anxiety. Meditative actions reduce the inflammatory effects caused by stress. π By exercising regularly, you can spend more days present in the moment and living your life as the happiest you! π
