In alignment with Denver Public Schools, Wednesday 05/06/2026, is a snow day for KIPP Colorado Public Schools. This means that ALL schools KIPP Colorado Schools will be closed Wednesday 05/06/2026.

At this time, we will plan to resume in-person learning on Thursday 05/07/2026. If anything changes, we will be sure to update you.

It's May - but Denver stays true to its wacky forecast with potential snow! If it is snowing tomorrow and/or Wednesday, we will be following DPS's weather guidance. If school is open while it is snowing, we will be welcoming students and staff into the building with hot chocolate and exclusive, one-of-a-kind snow day stickers! We expect to see all students there!

One of the electives we offer at KDC is Ms. Freeman’s art classes! Students in her class learned about Micrography which is an intricate art form where carefully placed words come together to form a larger image. Art 2 students used only text, shaping and spacing their words to transform language into detailed and expressive artwork. Shout to these students for creating some amazing art pieces!!!

Congratulations to our seniors on our girls soccer team! Come support them as they play their last home game of their kdc careers! See you at 4 on the turf!

Shout out to our ELA Team for celebrating AAPI books and authors this month! This month we regonize and honor the rich history, diverse cultures and significant contributions of Asian American Pacific Islanders to the United States. KIPPsters take a look at these books and reach out to Ms. Alli if you would like to read any of these!!!

Our Student Voice and Leadership seniors were honored recently at the SVL Senior Awards Brunch. We are proud of their leadership and their lasting impact on the KDC community! Shout out to Mr. Tomlinson for starting the SVL program at KDC this school year!
