CU Legend John Stearns Passes Away - University of Colorado Athletics BOULDER — John Stearns, a legend on the baseball diamond and football gridiron for the University of Colorado in the early 1970s, passed away Thursday in Denver after a courageous fight against stage IV cancer. He was 71.

Many of us are planning to gather with friends and family for the holidays and want to keep each other safe from COVID-19. This year, we are fortunate to have lifesaving vaccines that allow us to gather more safely, especially when complemented by other basic public health protocols like washing your hands, ventilating your place, wearing a mask indoors, and keeping your distance. Happy holidays!

Happy 70th birthdays to all! This is a time to be especially grateful for reaching this milestone. A party for TJ Class of ‘69 grads.
