Who is getting hurt? By age

E-bike injuries do not fit a simple story about children.

National injury data show that people treated after e-bike incidents had a median age of 34, compared with 24 for conventional bicycle injuries. Adults ages 18 to 64 accounted for nearly three-quarters of e-bike injuries in the sample.

Better policy begins with understanding who is riding, who is being hurt, and what the evidence actually shows.
