We're celebrating Dot Day! The Dot is a book written and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds. Students around the world celebrate creativity by making a unique dot artwork. We will be celebrating to remind us to "Make our mark and see where it takes us."

When: Tuesday, Sept. 15
What: Wear anything with dots! If you don't have anything with dots, be creative and use an old shirt to decorate with markers, paint or even stickers. You can even decorate a bow or socks!

The last school in the Denver metro area returned to class on Monday morning when students came back to Valverde Elementary. They were greeted by a new mural on their playground painted by their teachers.

SO THANKFUL to Denver Public Schools Foundation and all our community partners and volunteers for all their hard work today at the Back to Class Bash!! Volunteers painted, mulched, weeded, cleaned, and organized and we appreciate ALL their hard work and energy that they poured into our community today! We can't wait to welcome our Jaguars back to our beautiful school in less than 2 weeks! 🤩🥳🐾 🏫🐆
