"Mortar Board recently ran a tabling event that consisted of preparing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for donation to the homeless in Denver. This event resulted in us preparing numerous meals that went directly towards feeding those in need in our city. Events like these allow me to truly feel the results of my actions and know that my time is being spent for the betterment of someone else. Mortar Board is an organization that provides these types of opportunities that truly make someone else’s day easier. This is why I love being a part of Mortar Board and why every event I participate in gives me a renewed feeling of service to my community." - Callie Smith
