Our students are coming together in ways we haven’t seen in years to support each other and grow the success of the Butula Hekima School.

Our Kenya program remains in-focus for 2022 after a great visit with school leaders, teachers, and students building out the 2 and 5 year visions of Bob and the School.

Let there be Light!

Our return to the Butula Hekima Academy last month brought about change, impact, and inspiration. On top of lacrosse, we were able to finally deliver on our promise of lighting up evening learning in our Grade 6-12 classrooms.

Solar Powered Lights were the perfect temporary solution to illuminate the walk ways, classrooms, and student wash room.

Thank you to all out donors over the past year and a half to make this possible. With this, we can look towards a more sustainable form of lighting in a fully off-grid electric system for the school.

We cant stress how important it has been to help rebuild and improve our the schools infrastructure. As the students ease back into classes, so does lacrosse activities. See our website to learn more about what we’re doing.

Non-essential water sustainable project. Take #2. A few weeks back in August, we posted that our tank system had been completed. As luck would have it, 3 days of heavy rains eroded and destroyed the system entirely.

We had to continuing onwards. We reset expectations, revisiting our construction plan, and executed a second build of the tank system.

Pictured here is Bob, proud of the work that has been done. Good things from him and his team at Butula Hekima Academy. Students have been back for one week now, and we’re seeing this water project finally come to fruition.

We did it! Bob and Johnny have been putting in the hours building and prepping the water tank. Huge thank you to everyone who helped ha fundraise and scramble in such short time. We’re working with Butula Hekima Academy to sure up plans and finalize the project. Clean water for non-essential use!

Donate and Support today! With increased health risk due to CoVid-19 the Butula Hekima Academy is adding a rain-water based water filtration system to the school grounds to provide an adequate supply of water for hand washing, face washing, breakfast/lunch dish washing, and cooking.
