Arts Street students from Colorado High School Charter took over the runway this March with a fashion show that felt entirely their own! From concept to final look, students designed and created upcycled pieces in their fashion and photography course, each one reflecting a different perspective, story, and sense of style.
This show wasn’t just about the clothes. It was about confidence, creativity, and seeing their ideas come to life in front of a crowd.

Arts Street continued its partnership with Alterra Mountain Company and Steamboat Resort through an exciting new fall internship project focused on t-shirt design!
Steamboat’s Visual Merchandising Manager, Andrea Benavente, met with interns to share her career journey and guide them through a real-world client project. Interns created original designs representing Steamboat Resort, developed them digitally, submitted drafts, received feedback, and presented their final work live to the client.
One design by Lyell F., age 18, was selected and will be featured in the Torian Sports retail shop, where guests can choose it for their custom souvenir t-shirt!
Special thanks to Share Winter Foundation, whose long-standing, five-year partnership with Steamboat Ski Resort and Alterra Mountain Company continues to reduce barriers and expand opportunity for youth through meaningful, place-based experiences.
Make your own t-shirt when you visit Steamboat Ski & Resort Winter 2026!

YEA celebrated Halloween and Día de los Mu***os with plenty of creativity and connection!
Everyone had a blast decorating cookies, painting faces, making masks, honoring loved ones, and enjoying lots of pizza. We always love coming together to celebrate with our community!

Arts Street’s fall interns brought rootin’ tootin’ creativity DHA’s Senior Ball! Inspired by this year’s Western theme, our talented youth artists designed one-of-a-kind centerpieces and a hand-painted banner that captured the theme perfectly. Seniors loved the artwork, and many even took one home as a keepsake!

Our Arts Street interns worked hard this summer and completed several incredible client projects. One of the most memorable was creating two murals for Denver Housing Authority’s Thomas Bean Towers. Twenty-two youth artists, ages 14 to 19, met with DHA staff and residents to hear their vision for the project. Residents wanted to celebrate their community with a theme of jazz and Five Points, using bright colors and clear Denver references.
The interns designed digital mockups, and the client selected their two favorites. With guidance from Arts Street staff member Jessica Early, the youth spent five weeks painting the murals and then hosted a celebration with residents and staff to unveil the finished work. The vibrant designs brought new energy to the space and were met with pride and excitement.
Great work, Arts Street artists!

Our Arts Street summer interns have been busy creating some incredible work these past few weeks! From vibrant murals and traditional banners to personal headdresses and portraits, they’ve explored identity, career goals, and community through art.
As the internships wind down, we’re so proud of everything they’ve learned and shared! Not just with each other, but with the neighborhoods they’ve helped brighten.
