Timeline photos 07/01/2020

This week, as part of our summer art project with at Quigg Newton, we set out a super hero challenge for our younger residents in the neighborhood! With their art pack of drawing tips, colored pencils and a comic book for inspiration from they had to design their own hero. Here’s our amazing winner! Ami, age 12.

My name is Gamenator!
My super power is to fight off bugs and glitches in games.
My friends are Snack Buy and TV Girl. Snack Boy has the power to give me, Gamanator, food to be stronger and able to catch the bugs and glitches and get more power. TV Girl has the power to give me more screens to be able to catch the bugs and glitches faster.
My goals are to get rid of every bug and every glitch in the world so everyone can enjoy all the games.
An important event in my past was when I was playing a game this glitch came, but then another person came and captured the glitch. Then I asked if I could join them and he said "yes, but you can't tell anyone about it."

As part of our summer art project with at Quigg Newton, we set out a photography adventure challenge for residents in the neighborhood. They recieved an adventure buddy and some basic photography tips and sent back their best adventure! Here are our winners and their stories!

1. The Adventures of Kirbo: The greatest traveler in the world!
One day the great traveler, Kirbo, took it upon himself to find a great adventure! Kirbo, being the great traveler he is, strapped on his favorite brown boots, slipped into his purple overalls then put his white gloves on and set out to find his adventure into the hectic world. Kirbo didn't know what to expect on his adventure. He had tracked through the tall grass, conquered mountains, sailed the sea in search of new wonders in the world. At last it was time for Kirbo to head back home. Even though he didn't find the adventure he was looking for, he did enjoy seeing the world in a new light. Who knows where Kirbo will venture off to next, perhaps Yogurtland!
The End

2. The Adventures of Arthur: The greatest adventurer in the world!
One day, Arthur decided to jump into his time machine tank and visit the last place on his forbidden list. "Well," he thought to himself, "I must find out for myself about the dinosaurs." So Arthur had finally arrived. "Woah!" he exclaimed as he landed straight in front of several dinosaurs, including an enormous Pterodactyl who immediately noticed Arthur and began to chase after him. "So this is why I had this time on the forbidden list! I'm outta here."
The End
