It’s official! Week 1 is in the books and our 15-year anniversary at U Prep is up and running with the launch of the 2025-26 school year. We were thrilled to welcome scholars and families back for our orientation week starting on August 11th and can’t wait for all this year will bring.

¡Es oficial! La semana 1 está en los libros y nuestro aniversario número 15 en U Prep ha comenzado con el lanzamiento del año escolar 2025-26. Estuvimos encantados de dar la bienvenida a los estudiantes y familias de regreso para nuestra semana de orientación que comenzó el 11 de agosto y no podemos esperar a todo lo que este año traerá.

Just before spring break, our Steele St. scholars were engaging in an egg hunt activity to celebrate perfect attendance for the month of March. Out of nowhere, the Central Park Rangers from the film Elf appeared. Unlike the movie version, this crew was incredibly pleasant and we loved having them on campus.

Justo antes de las vacaciones de primavera, nuestros estudiantes de la calle Steele participaban en una búsqueda de huevos para celebrar la asistencia perfecta durante marzo. De repente, aparecieron los guardabosques de Central Park de la película Elf. A diferencia de la versión cinematográfica, este equipo fue increíblemente amable y nos encantó tenerlos en el campus.

Who doesn’t love a pajama day? There’s something particularly enjoyable about a mother and son rolling into school in their pj’s and spending the day in that cozy state

For U Prep families who keep their attendance rolling during the 2nd semester, these brand-new, ultra-exclusive, mugs are waiting for you. We are deeply grateful for each and every family for working to hit our ‘no more than 5 absences’ goal per semester and are eager to celebrate you in May when we get to the finish line.

Kids will be kids! When you’re studying rocks in your 4th grade science class, what do you do? Bring rocks to school each morning to share with your teacher. Way to get our scholars pumped about science Ms. Harbaugh!

When we opened U Prep, this young lady was in the early years of elementary school. Now, the daughter of our longest tenured team member is a college graduate with a pilots’ license. We are so proud of Jasmine and all of her accomplishments. Thelma, your family is incredible and your daughter’s success is a reminder to all of our scholars that they can truly do anything. ❤️

Cuando abrimos U Prep, esta joven estaba en los primeros años de primaria. Ahora, la hija de nuestro miembro más veterano del equipo es graduada universitaria con licencia de piloto. Estamos muy orgullosos de Jasmine y de todos sus logros. Each morning, as scholars enter our classrooms across U Prep, they are met with an “academic passcode.” What happens when a whole cluster of children struggle to answer the math question that “gets you in to the learning club?”, Ms. Garster pulls you together for a mini lesson on decomposing wholes into fractional parts.

Cada mañana, al entrar los alumnos a nuestras aulas de U Prep, se les entrega una "clave académica". ¿Qué sucede cuando un grupo de niños tiene dificultades para responder la pregunta de matemáticas que les permite entrar al club de aprendizaje? These two up and coming artists love the opportunity to paint in our PreK classroom. One day, you may very well see their works of art displayed in a gallery.
