The College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences is DU’s largest academic unit, with 25 departments, schools and areas of study as well as centers and institutes that encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Last spring, associate professor Rachel Feder launched her 4D Fridays course, “Literary Careers and Communities” (ENGL 2709). Aspiring writers in the class gained access to Feder's diverse literary network, which included a literary agent, an alumnus-turned-author, the managing editor of The Iowa Review, and several novelists across genres.

Congratulations to professor Lindsey Feitz, who was recently named the inaugural recipient of the Michael B. Pulman and Eric Lindstrom Endowed Chair in the Study of Sexuality.🥂

This endowment will support the study of human sexuality at the University of Denver, including student internships and research projects examining LGBTQ+ lives, histories, contributions, and advocacy.🏳️‍🌈

"So much of our understanding of history, politics, institutions, and society involves aspects of human sexuality. I'm incredibly grateful for Pulman and Lindstrom's commitment to ensuring our students will be able to study it for years ahead," Feitz said.

This week's is Whitney Peterson, a 2018 alumna who earned her master's degree from , with a concentration in museum & heritage studies. Her thesis research at the led to her current role at CyArk, where she uses 3D technology to make cultural heritage sites free and accessible to anyone with a screen.

“Cultural heritage has the power to share so much about our past but also inform our future,” Peterson said.
