The Class of 2026 has officially signed off from Columbine High School! We love you seniors!
On Monday, April 20th, over 1200 student volunteers and staff members spent their day across our community and participated in over 60 service projects. In addition, we received messages from friends all across the country—and even as far away as Australia!—who organized their own projects for the Day of Service. These acts of kindness and love honored our beloved thirteen and celebrated the resounding strength of the Columbine community for our 10th annual Day of Service.

Not all of our Rebels were in Colorado on the Day of Service and we loved seeing this beach clean up day in Capitola, California from Mrs. Smith!

Some of our Spanish class students spent April 20th at Foster Dual Language School in Arvada. Our Rebels loved making new connections!

For our Soldiers’ Angels project, students collected donations for active military members and military dogs, wrote letters to veterans, and packed up donation boxes to be shipped. The most meaningful part was listening to students share their deep personal connections to the project, such as having grandparents who served but were never thanked for their service.

Lots happening at Leawood Elementary today! Science students helped to judge the Leawood Science fair and other Rebel volunteers helped out at recess and with a fence sign project. They played at recess with kindergarten through 5th graders and helped bring joy through constructing a “LION PRIDE” sign on their fence!

The project for Movement 5280 broke its own record today! They made 200 first aid kits for the unhoused (about double the number made in the past). In assembly line style, each volunteer packs a kit full of all items recommended in a first aid kit suggested by the American Red Cross.
