When was the last time you poked around to see how you feel when you run through your day? Like really tuned into what your mind, body, and soul is trying to tell you?
Our energetic fields talk to us in the most incredible ways but sometimes they're so damn subtle. We are incredible beings designed to shift and evolve. Our rituals and routines are meant to ebb and flow. Our bodies outgrow past needs and create new ones.
But we are also creatures of habit. If something you made a habit of falls off or you lose the passion or drive behind it, it's okay! It probably means it's served its purpose, done its job, helped you to do the thing you set out to do when you started doing it in the first place. It could just simply not be for you. Just because this thing has been a part of our lives doesn't mean it should stick around. Everything is temporary and holding on to something that no longer works for you is never going to get you anywhere except for where you are or straight drag you in the opposite direction of where you want to be.
Let's make it normal to say "f**k no" to what doesn't work for us and "hell yes" to what does. Seriously, let's do it together. Let's make it a daily pratice to notice the feelings that arise in daily routines and start to w**d out what's not working and filling that space with what is.
If you find that...
•that morning ritual isn't starting your day the way it used to...switch it up
•that sound that your closet door makes that makes your skin crawl...wd40 that bitch
•you feel unfulfilled by your workout routine...try something new
•salad makes you bloated...don't freaking eat salad
OR
•that new coffee is really good...keep buying it until it's not
•you pick up an old hobby...fall in love with it again
•you feel fantastic after that hike...keep hiking
It's okay to change. It's okay to not love the things everyone says is the bees knees. It's even better to start doing things that feel good for YOU. Just pick one thing you notice and take action on it. It doesn't have to be a huge, burn it all down thing. It's the small steps in the small parts of life that will add up in long run.
Think on it and tell me in the comments what your "f**k no" or "hell yes" is that you could commit to

“Sometimes the people around you won’t understand your journey. They don’t need to, it’s not for them.” Joubert Botha
My little bit of joy today. I'm anxious af today and sometimes focusing on something small really helps...sometimes it makes it worse. But today re-potting this succulent in a super cute Dino pot brought some joy and focus.
I'm a mess right now, and that's okay. This year has been brutal and every hit I've taken I keep getting back up, adjusting to living with and healing new wounds. I have no doubt each and every thing that has unfolded has a lesson but right now I'm not focused on that. I'm sitting here with my anger, doubt, fear, hurt, and whatever else comes up. I'm not ready to look on the bright side yet. I will not stay in this space, I refuse to let the events of my 35th trip around the sun shift me into a bitter angry human. But for now, until I am ready, I will sit with all the feelings and acknowledge them. I will keep crying my tears and losing my s**t because I'm afraid that if I don't I will hold these feelings forever. I'm pulling back from things and dis-owning toxic positivity/spiritually. While it's not healthy to stay here in the long run, it is healthy to not mask negative experiences and to move through them (not around them). Because I'm not masking them, not avoiding the impact rippling through my existence, I am a mess. And that's okay.

With the new year right around the corner everyone is thinking about their word of the year. Have you thought about how you want to feel?
There was a time when I did a word of the year and then I came across Danielle Laporte's Desire Map and it was life changing. The process was deep and let me really tune into, and in turn live by, how I wanted feel everyday. Some of the physical things I thought I wanted, things I thought I wanted to accomplish didn't actually line up with how I want to feel and that shifted my goals for the better!

For those of us in pain––from the deeply personal, to the planetary sorrow we can taste. For those of us who have Joy to offer because we are removing obstacles to it––we know that Joy is our o...
