Meet Tracie Cheatem-Cooper, a Professional Baker and Cake Decorating alumna! 🎂💚We asked Tracie some questions about her experience with our college. ⬇

Q: “If you could go back to your first day of class at Emily Griffith and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?”
A: “If I had to go back to my very first day, I will keep telling myself what I was telling myself to work hard, learn everything that’s being taught tight and take advantage of the extra help that they offered to you. be at school on time and have perfect attendance.”

Q: “What is one thing you’re doing in your job today that would have felt impossible to you several years ago?”
A: “I don’t think that there was anything impossible that I couldn’t do. I’m doing or was doing on my job.
But the one thing that I’ve benefited from at Emily Griffin is it made it possible for me to see further ahead with my career in my life.”

Q: “Because of Emily Griffith, I am now able to ______.”
A: “I am able to retire from the dream that I’ve always wanted to do and become an entrepreneur and work for myself on my own time.”

Run by our Massage Therapy students under the supervision of licensed instructors, Emily’s Massage Clinic offers opportunities to relax, and reduce pain, tension, stress and anxiety. Feel rejuvenated and ready to face the world while spending less!

Meet Gloria Atuna, a Nurse Assisting alumna!👩‍⚕️💚 We asked Gloria some questions about her experience at Emily Griffith Technical College! ⬇

Q: “Was there a specific moment in your training—a lesson, a project, or a conversation—where you realized, 'I can actually do this as a career’?”
A: “I always wanted to become a nurse. My journey began when I enrolled in the CNA program at Emily Griffith. My instructor, Ms. Terry, was incredibly encouraging, supportive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel confident that completing the CNA program was a great first step toward a nursing career. Her guidance and belief in us reinforced my passion for nursing and made me realize that this was truly the career I wanted to pursue.”

Q: “If you could go back to your first day of class at Emily Griffith and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?”
A: “It is worth all the time and effort.”
