Did you know that without Slow Food USA, we would not exist as a chapter? We may not partner with them on projects all the time, but they are a constant support system for our team.

Slow Food USA does not operate in one city, town, or state, so it can be difficult for them to plan fundraising events. The Slow Market, taking place from Nov. 15 to 30th, is an online fundraising event that offers us all the opportunity to support their abundant programming. Beyond sustaining each individual chapter in the US, Slow Food USA works in food education, farm and food policy, school garden programs, and so much more.

For this fundraising effort, chapters from around the country contributed items to create a diverse auction filled with food focused items and experiences. Check out the online catalog to find the perfect gift for yourself or another. Link located in the comments!

Looking for Slow Food Denver items? We contributed the SFD basket with our swag, MiiR container and tumbler, 2 passports, and more. Additionally, we've got a private online cooking class available for a personal experience with one of our Lil' Sprouts instructors.

Our friends at Slow Food Tetons are hosting an incredibly special event this October. Their Farm to Fork Festival will have a wide variety of speakers, workshops, and community meals featuring many different parts of the food system. From fermenting to butchering to bee keeping, they are offering insight into the many specialized practices that go into producing the foods you eat every day.

We're doing everything we can to make it to this unique event. We hope you'll join us, and the Slow Food Tetons team, in celebrating the producers of the Tetons and learning together.

Loneliness and Isolation are at Epidemic levels. The US Surgeon General has written an advisory on the Health Epidemic of Loneliness. Loneliness has such a negative impact on health and well-being, that he identifies steps that our society as a whole must take, in order to address it. Social Connection is a foundational for good health for both individuals and the communities they live in.
