We love our Larks! If a singer has been with us for all seven years of the program, they receive these lovely, handmade alumni award birds. BIG thanks to local artist 3ND Glass for crafting these lovely keepsakes🥰 🐦

Production work while the artist is home for the summer. The birds are for The Colorado Children's Chorale. Other work will be available for sale through Celebrate EDU and Northeast Arc.

Big dreams, major inspiration, and a HUGE opportunity? The Colorado Children's Chorale will always be ready!

A GIANT thank you to Colorado Public Radio for telling our story, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the sights and sounds of the Chorale, and for showcasing the magic happening here in Colorado!

In a spacious auditorium, neat rows of children sing in a high treble that fills the room with a bright resonance. By now, they’ve lost track of how many times they’ve rehearsed this song. That’s because they have big plans for it.

“I really want it to be perfect, extremely perfect for New York because New York is such a big deal,” said 13-year-old Aliyah Morales of Commerce City.

“I think I’m going to be really nervous, but excited at the same time because it’s a life-changing experience,” Norah Kim, a 12 year old from Highlands Ranch, said ahead of the performance.

Most of the kids in the Colorado Children's Chorale’s advanced touring choir said they had never been to New York. Now, on their first trip to the Big Apple, they were also performing the world premiere of a composition by Colorado composer Kevin Padworski.

Led by artistic director Emily Crile, the young singers performed on the main stage at Carnegie Hall on May 24, followed by a standing ovation. Crile and Padworski sat down with CPR’s Bazi Kanani to discuss what inspired the piece, all the work put in by the young singers, and the significance of performing at Carnegie: https://www.cpr.org/2026/09/11/colorado-kids-choir-world-premiere/
