We had a great day celebrating the last day of school with A Day At The Park! We love seeing our students have fun--it truly is why we do what we do.

Aviators, we hope you SOAR this summer! We can't wait to see you and your families in August!

On Friday, we recognized our volunteers with a breakfast catered by , owned by the wonderful family of a Lowry student! We gave each volunteer a certificate and a bag provided by the DPS Family and Community Engagement Office.

Each year, we honor a few instrumental volunteers with special awards. This year's recipients were:
🌷 Alicia Johnson & Matt Lewis (Lifetime Achievement): Alicia & Matt run the Book Fair together. In addition to other volunteer times in the building, Alicia chairs the CSC and Matt is the PTO Treasurer. We will miss them next year when their son is in middle school!
🌷 Hadley Manning (Unsung Hero): Hadley is our Staff Appreciation Co-Chair and does a phenomenal job working to make sure our staff feels recognized!
🌷 Ariel Olsson (Unsung Hero): Ariel has led the Dining for Dollars program for two years. She schedules our restaurant and food truck events and has helped us raise thousands of dollars for the PTO and the school!

Thank you to all of our volunteers. We can't do it without you!

For our final day of Staff Appreciation Week, we brought in a selection of sandwiches, chips, and drinks for lunch. We hope our staff feels loved and appreciated this week--we sure do love and appreciate them!

Thank you to the families that have donated to our school this year through direct donations, bringing in items for potluck meals and classroom supplies, participating in fundraising, or just spreading the word about Lowry! All fundraising goes to support our students, school, and staff (like the meals we purchased this week). We have a few more opportunities to contribute to the school, including Pickleball With Lowry on Sunday, May 17! Tickets are still available!

A feast was had by all!

Yesterday's breakfast was moved to today because of the snow day, so the Lowry staff had breakfast *and* lunch today!

Thanks to the families who donated items for breakfast, to the PTO for supporting a local Girl Scout, and to the Riedlin and Lacy families for providing pizza.

It's safe to say that our staff members have full hearts and bellies today!

We love our staff!

Thanks to the families that came out to Chalk the Walk on Sunday. They drew pictures, wrote messages, and shared our love of Lowry!

We appreciate our staff each and every day, but really love sharing that appreciation this week.

Each year, the PTO sets up a number of meals and activities for Staff Appreciation during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8). While the PTO Staff Appreciation Committee takes care of most of the logistics, we have a couple of ways in which you can help out!

Chalk the Walk: Come to school on Sunday, May 3 (3:30-4:30) to decorate the sidewalks and show your appreciation for the staff. No need to bring chalk (but you can if you want)--just bring some creative ideas and wear clothes that can get a little chalky!

Potluck Breakfast: Bring in items for a staff breakfast! Breakfast will be served on Wednesday, May 6--items must be delivered to the office by the end of the school day on Tuesday, May 5. When you bring your item to school, please let us know if you have perishable items (i.e., yogurt) so they can be refrigerated right away!
