"We’re so proud to celebrate Lachlan as he graduates from 8th grade!

Since joining ISD in 5th grade in the French program, Lachlan has grown into a thoughtful, hardworking, and genuinely kind young man. He has been a dedicated member of student council every year, embraced school athletics, and grown tremendously through his travels to France and across the U.S.

We couldn’t be prouder of who he’s become and are so excited to see all that lies ahead as he heads into high school.

As we celebrated Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we were excited to welcome State Representative Kenny Nguyen to ISDenver.

Growing up, he worked incredibly hard to become the first person in his family to graduate from college. Today, he is making history as the first Vietnamese American lawmaker and the only Asian American currently serving in the Colorado General Assembly.

His visit reminds us that our diverse backgrounds are our greatest strengths.

Walking through the ECE (Early Childhood Education) hallway is the most colorful path!

ISDenver High School stage transformed into a buzzing audio studio as our founding 9th‑grade class debuted “Echoes of Colorado,” a live podcast performance that blended science, storytelling, and a dash of true‑crime drama.

Each five‑minute episode showcased a different ecological mystery, from the disappearance of songbirds to the eerie transformation of once‑lush hillsides. Students wrote original scripts, conducted “expert witness” interviews, and performed live soundscapes that brought their investigations to life.

The result was a performance that felt equal parts science symposium, radio drama, and environmental call‑to‑action.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers for representing our community and staffing a water station at the Colfax Marathon!

Your energy, enthusiasm, and support helped keep runners motivated every step of the way. We are so grateful for your time and dedication — it’s community spirit like this that makes ISDenver so special!
