Our student ambassadors at DSST: College View showed up and showed OUT. ๐Ÿ’™

Earlier this week, they took Superintendent Dr. Marrero, and Denver Public Schools Board Members Xรณchitl Gaytรกn and Marlene De La Rosa on a full campus tour โ€” and they handled it like the leaders they are. These students represented their school and their community beautifully, and we couldn't be more proud.

This summer, Nuvia launched University of Colorado Boulder's inaugural Spanish-language orientation sessions for parents of incoming students as part of her graduate studies at the university. Colorado is asking the right questions about education โ€” and DSST is at the table. ๐Ÿ’™
State leaders have formed the Task Force to Expand Effective Public Schools to examine how students across Colorado gain access to high-quality public schools. We're proud to share that our CEO, Nella Garcia Urban, has been appointed that the task force.
That means our students, our families, and our track record of preparing every single graduate for college and beyond will help shape what educational opportunity looks like for kids across the state. We are proud to represent our community at this level. ๐ŸŒŸ

At the start of every school year, DSST educators come together as one network. And every year, we're reminded why this work matters. This year's Infusion brought a powerful re-grounding in our mission to transform public education, school cheers that shook the walls, and a moment to honor the staff members whose contributions to DSST have been nothing short of extraordinary.

A special shout-out goes to students from DSST: Green Valley Ranch High School and Aurora Science & Tech High School for sharing their gifts of music and poetry with us.
