My Story

As of May 1st, 2020 I have been working at the Auraria Higher Education Center in the HVAC shop for 22 years. I began as a General Building Trades Assistant and became a Pipe and Mechanical Trades I in August of 2009. March 2018 I became a Pipe and Mechanical Trades II. While I respond to hot and cold calls for office and classroom spaces, my main responsibility is to perform preventative maintenance on the equipment that controls those climates. My area of focus is the Cherry Creek building, Central, and West classrooms. When the need arises through that preventative maintenance, or by failure of the equipment, I will repair or replace it. Through the years I have developed a knack for rebuilding large and small pumps. I also operated the campus swimming pool at the Physical Education building from 1998 to 2006.
