Young people can participate in a local community clean-up at Sunken Gardens Park. Participants will receive a clean-up toolkit, earn 10 volunteer hours, receive a certificate of participation, and become eligible for a $1,500 scholarship opportunity.

The Denver Black Firefighter's Alliance (DBFFA) invites the Montbello community to a fun and family-friendly Community Bike Ride with Firefighters! 🚴🏾‍♂️🚒 📍 Parkfield Lake Park Amphitheatre (15555 E. 53rd Ave) 🗓 Saturday, May 30 ⏰ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Bring your bike and helmet and join us for a 4-mile round-trip community ride! We'll begin at the Parkfield Amphitheatre, make a stop at the fire station, continue toward First Creek at DEN Open Space for a quick restroom break, and ride back together to the amphitheater. This is a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and ride alongside our local firefighters! ⚠️ Registration is required by next Thursday at 2:00 PM. We hope to see you there!

Camp G.L.O.W. is a 4‑day mental wellness and empowerment camp designed specifically for middle and high school girls. Led by licensed mental health professionals, the program provides a culturally responsive, trauma‑informed space where girls can build confidence, strengthen emotional skills, and connect with peers in a supportive environment.

Camp G.L.O.W. focuses on emotional wellness, identity development, and leadership skills for adolescent girls—especially those from Black, Brown, and underserved communities. Through interactive workshops, creative activities, and group connection, participants will:

Strengthen emotional literacy and learn healthy coping skills
Explore identity, personal strengths, and cultural pride
Practice self‑advocacy, boundary‑setting, and leadership
Build community in a safe, supportive, and fun environment
