De Baca TKD Family:

This Tuesday (March 2nd) will be our next class at Jazzercise Aurora, located at 2740 S Havana Street Unit J Aurora, CO. 80014

The class time will be from 700-800pm. Please try not to arrive before 6:45, as there will be another class using the studio/space until that time.

This is an exciting opportunity to maintain our training, to move forward in TKD and to honor GM De Baca’s legacy…. I know that he is looking down proudly on us all..

At this time, even with the upcoming change due to daylight savings time and the longer hours of light in the parks, there is still the ever present challenge of the weather of the day. We will be placing our workouts in the parks on hold/hiatus at this time, though may be able to re-visit them later in the year as weather becomes more steady, and as covid regulations permit.

There is a possibility that another class/date could be added to our schedule, though that is dependent on space availability. We are following covid regulations and requirements each week.

We hope to be able to see as many of you this Tuesday as possible!

Taekwon!

From Mrs De Baca:

"Hi our sweet friends and family,
Yesterday was a day of hope and today my heart is breaking and this world is forever changed. Paul Welton De Baca is no longer with us on this earthly plane. I know many of you share my feeling that this world has lost a man who was a unique and trusted friend to so many, an amazingly talented and gifted TaeKwon Do instructor and master practitioner, a fun loving motorcycle enthusiast, a dedicated patriot, and a man with a heart so big and so kind that nothing could contain his generosity. Dear Paul, we will miss you dearly and we sincerely acknowledge that this world has lost a treasured example of a human being who will forever be one of a kind, in a class all his own.
On another day in the distant future there will be a memorial service where many of us will join together to share stories of fond memories, and fun times, but on this night my energy is gone and my tears are blocking my words. Bless each of you for loving and respecting my sweet wonderful Paul and thank you for all of the kindness and generosity you've shown in the last month.
Paul and I appreciate and send our love to everyone, and we hope that each of you remembers to treasure the people you love, and tell them over and over how important and loved they are. There's never enough time to share kindness and love with the people we love, so appreciate every minute while you can. Blessings to all,
Janis"

I wanted to share the latest update from Mrs De Baca about GM De Baca's recovery.. there's still a long way to go, but every bit of good news is worth celebrating!!

"YEAH! Some good news!
Paul's doctor update today: For the First Time when they lowered the sedation and ask Paul to do a few activities like wiggle his toes and turn his head he responded as instructed! The doc says they are very cautiously optimistic and want to see if this continues over the next few days.
I'm excited and hope things are even better tomorrow! It's an up and down journey, and so good to hear something great that he's done!

Please, please send prayers for his increasing alertness and total healing of his lungs! We've heard the stories of miracles, so if you can return to that child like belief, please believe it could happen to Paul NOW! We have the power to support miracles and he so deserves one! Thank you, thank you and bless everyone of you who spends a few minutes focusing on the power of healing miracles for our sweet fun loving Paul!
Janis

An update on GM De Baca

"GM still needs the ventilator to breathe. Generally there are small daily improvements to his stats, but occasionally he still struggles with 100 fever & although there have been lots of tests they can’t determine the cause. But the primary issue continues to be that his lungs aren’t strong & healthy enough to sustain him without the ventilator. It’s difficult to be patient when he’s so sick, but we have no choice.
A friend is working on getting a “Caring Bridge” set up so people will be able to go to a web site to see daily updates, so I’ll let know when that’s arranged."

An update from Mrs. De Baca about GM De Baca

"He’s making a little progress every day, but his lungs aren’t strong enough to take on full time breathing & still having low fevers. Plus he’s still combative when they lower the sedation. Please continue to talk to GM about “quiet acceptance of healing”. We so appreciate the prayers!!
Janis"

Received an update from Mrs. De Baca:

"YES - Just got GREAT NEWS! Please pass the word the the same social media channels that:
the TKD family made a huge difference yesterday in GM De Baca’s Health!!
His stats leveled out and yesterday he was able to breathe on his own for 1.5 hours!!!
The problem is when they lower the sedation to allow him to breathe on his own, he gets combative & agitated and they have to sedate him & make the ventilator breathe for him... (He has too much fighting spirit & it’s working against him at the moment.)
PLEASE SEND CALMING, PEACEFUL, MEDITATIVE THOUGHTS AND ENERGY TO PAUL TODAY! The longer he can be calm, the longer he’ll be able to breathe on his own and the sooner they’ll be able to remove the ventilator! Please send GM De Baca’s subconscious calm relaxing, meditative thoughts today & tomorrow!!

Thanks so much for being a huge part of his healing process!!

The De Baca family"

Posted at the request of Mrs GM De Baca (Janis De Baca):

Who would have believed that on his 75th birthday this incredible example of strength, determination, indomitable spirit, fun, and health in every aspect of the word would be temporarily under the spell of the COVID virus? Unfortunately Paul is spending this day in the ICU at UC Health in Aurora.
Our family humbly requests that each of you who knows and appreciates the heart and soul of this incredible man spends a little time today remembering the essence of who Paul De Baca is and focuses your powerful energy for health back to him.
Today he receives the plasma and antibodies that will bring him back to complete health, so please add your energy and positive memories of the gifts he has always contributed to every person lucky enough to cross his path.
We so appreciate your love, prayers, and best wishes and we know what a powerful community this is! Thank you for focusing your strength and for sending your powerful affirmative words toward Paul's subconscious as his 75th birthday present. Blessings and good health to each of you.
Janis, Troy and Michael De Baca

I will share any updates/news/words I am given ..
