What if hope isn’t just something we feel, but something we act on?

That’s at the heart of Jim Bildner’s new book, A Matter of Hope. Through stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, Jim explores what it means to believe a better future is possible — and take action to make it happen.

Read more about Jim’s book and his perspective on hope in our latest blog.

We took the SSF club at PSU Student Support Foundation shopping to stock their campus food pantry shelves, and we loved spending time with these up-and-coming philanthropists who recognize that sometimes a meal can make a big difference in someone's life in their community.

We can't wait to see what this school year has in store for our SSF clubs across the country!

Community Builders is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Morgridge Family Foundation (MFF), which is investing in our community assistance work in western Colorado, including projects in the West End, Colorado River Valley, and Mesa County. While each is unique, these projects share a commitment to bringing people together to create healthier places, stronger communities, and resilient local economies.

MFF’s investments align closely with the issues we help communities navigate on the daily – economic diversification, childcare, workforce development, and climate resiliency, to name a few. The foundation looks to partner with organizations willing to challenge the status quo. And we’re pretty darn happy they see that rebellious spirit in us.

Thank you, MFF, for believing in us! We look forward to the work ahead.

It's hard to put into words just how special our MAP Culmination event in Washington, D.C., was. These days were full of connection, play, learning, and genuine joy—a wonderful reflection of what makes the MAP community so special!

We are so grateful to all the MAP Fellows and Mentors, to all our returning alumni, and, of course, to the incredible Ash Gallegos, who works tirelessly to make this program what it is.

We are counting down the days until the MAP Fellowship culmination event in D.C., and we've been hearing incredible stories from this year's Fellows.

There is a lot of conversation about how AI will change our lives—for better and worse. MAP Fellow Raina is exploring one way AI can be used for good through her fellowship with Just Value Inc.

Drawing on her lived experience and her mentor's guidance, she is using first-person interviews to ensure AI models better reflect the real stories of the people Just Value is working to support.

We were honored to join the National Forest Foundation recently in Telluride, Colorado, for an inside look at the incredible recreation work happening in Uncompahgre National Forest.

From the very beginning, conservation has been central to the MFF's giving and values. Some of life's most meaningful moments happen outdoors or on a trail, and that's why protecting these places is so important to us.

Their work has been instrumental in ensuring that the public can enjoy these spaces while also limiting the environmental impacts humans have on the natural environment.
