Fall Picture Day is coming to SOAR!

Students are not required to wear their school uniform on Picture Day. Please keep P.E. classes and outdoor recess in mind when choosing an outfit, as students will not have an opportunity to change clothes during the school day.

⏰ Arriving at 8:00 AM means YOU ARE LATE!

Teaching starts promptly at 8:00 AM. If your student arrives at 8:00 AM or later, you will need to:

🚗 Park
🏫 Bring your student to the front office
✍️ Sign them in
⏰ The tardy will be recorded and will affect your student’s attendance record.

SOAR Families, please remember that there will be no school on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

🏫 The school office will also be closed, and there will be no access to the building.

📚 SOAR Assessment Days

SOAR Assessment Days are coming up in September! Please note that only half of our students will attend school on each Assessment Day, based on their last name:

📅 Friday, September 11: Last names A–L

📅 Friday, September 18: Last names M–Z

Students should attend only on their assigned day. Teachers will use this time to work individually and in small groups with students to gather academic data and support instructional planning.

📣 SOAR Families: Dismissal Plan Required for Every Student!

Bus schedules are now available! 🚌

To help ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process, every student must have a completed dismissal plan.

📧 Please check your email for important information about your child’s Dismissal Plan, including the link to complete the plan and bus schedules.

⏰ Deadline: Wednesday, August 12 at 4:00 PM

Important Reminders:
• Dismissal plans cannot be changed for the day unless there is a family emergency.
• Emergency changes must be made by calling the SOAR office no later than 12:00 PM on the day of the change.

Please make sure to review your email and complete your child’s plan by the deadline.

Please make sure your child has the following completed and ready:

✅ Completed Registration
✅ Completed Lunch Application
✅ Dismissal Plan (form coming soon once Transportation finalizes bus schedules)
✅ Device Policy Acknowledgement Form
✅ School Uniform

Students arriving at 8:00 AM or later will be considered tardy and must be signed in by an adult at the office.

🍎 The 2026-2027 School Lunch Application is now available!

✅ Deadline: Monday, August 6

All families are required to either:
✔️ Complete a lunch application, or
✔️ Select the "Opt Out" option if you do not wish to apply.

Completing a lunch application may also help support our After School Enrichment Program and other student benefits.

📌 Important:

Kindergarten–2nd Grade starts August 17
3rd–5th Grade starts August 18
Students who do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals will be charged the full price for school lunch.

🎒✨ No School Supply Shopping Needed! ✨🎒

At SOAR Elementary, we've got you covered!

💙 Families do not need to purchase school supplies. We provide all of the school supplies students need for the entire school year.

The only thing we ask students to bring is a sturdy, reusable water bottle each day.

💧 Water Bottle Reminders:
✅ Label it with your child's name.
✅ Take it home daily to wash.
✅ Please do not send disposable plastic water bottles.
⚠️ We do not have a lost & found. For health reasons, any items left around the building will be discarded at the end of each day.

👕 Reminder: A SOAR t-shirt is required every day of school. Students may wear any bottoms they choose. Students wearing skirts should wear shorts underneath, and athletic shoes are required for PE and recess.
