According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employees who receive frequent micro-managing are 2.5 times less likely to be engaged in their work than those who do not. In addition, frequent micro-managing makes it difficult for employees to develop a strong relationship with their supervisor, which can also lead to disengagement.
