Did you guess correctly (and equally as important, did you get our Jurassic Park reference)?

Our students are headed to a live glassblowing experience at Hot Glass Alley where art, science, history, and imagination all burn bright!

Because sometimes the best lesson plan is:
watch fire,
ask questions,
and hope nobody learns the hard way why they keep saying “don’t touch that.”

At The Talent School, we don’t just learn about the world. We go see it, explore it, question it, and occasionally stand a safe distance away from it while it reaches 2,000+ degrees.

Reserve your spot today—all are welcome. Link in comments.

🚀 Charlotte isn’t waiting for the future of AI — we’re building it, and so are our students!

The CLT AI Summit brings together top founders, researchers, and industry leaders to share how AI is shaping the way we work, create, and even learn. From startups to research labs, this is where the next generation of ideas comes to life.

We’re so excited to have our founder, Betsy Hauser, on a panel talking not just about AI, but how it intersects with education. She’ll show how The Talent School rethinks learning — through real-world experiences, curiosity, and a model that evolves with students ✨

📅 April 2 | 🕣 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

We’re taking learning out into the real world… and then bringing it right back to you 👀✨

First up: Charlotte SHOUT 🎨
We’re heading out for a full immersion into one of the city’s most vibrant festivals — live music, interactive art, and creativity all across Charlotte. Students will get to experience firsthand how ideas turn into real-world expression, storytelling, and innovation 💡

Then we keep it going…

🎤 Talent Talks (Virtual!)
We’re beyond excited to host Pam Imhof, a featured Charlotte SHOUT artist! A week after our Talent Trek, Pam will share what it’s really like working in a creative field, how she chose the work to display at the festival, and the behind-the-scenes of bringing her art to life. You can swipe through our post to see some of Pam’s work — we can’t wait for her insights and stories! ✨

Real experiences → real conversations → real inspiration 💛

Both events are open to Talent School families and the broader community — we’d love to have you join us!

What do you learn at a basketball game?

Not just how to keep score.

Last Thursday night, about 100 of our Talent School students swarmed the Spectrum Center and you wouldn’t bee-lieve the night we had. Our hive got a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to build something bigger than a game—teamwork, preparation, production, storytelling, and legacy. From operations to branding to the moment Dell Curry’s jersey was raised, it was a masterclass in how excellence is built over time.

Because learning doesn’t just happen at a desk.
It happens in arenas.
In real moments.
In rooms you’re not usually invited into.

This is what project-based learning looks like:
Ask better questions. See how things actually work. Connect the dots.

And maybe…dream a little bigger. 🏀

Learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. 🚀

Last week our students were out in the world learning — from horses and baseball stadium operations to the people and systems that make it all work. Field trips give students the chance to ask questions, explore new industries, and see how learning connects to the real world.

At The Talent School, we want our students to experience as many different career paths as possible. The goal is simple: help them discover what they love and start to see how their passions could turn into their future.

And we’re not done yet…

This week we’re heading to Charlotte Water to tour the facility and learn about the science and chemistry behind the water cycle. Then it’s game time! 🏀 We’ll be at the Hornets arena for pregame access, a tour of the renovations, and a Q&A with someone who’s spent 7 years working in the sports industry.

Be sure to check the link in our bio, our Eventbrite, and the Talent School calendar for upcoming field trips and community outings. We have a lot of fun experiences in the works and can’t wait to share more!

Curious about The Talent School? Joining one of our field trips is a great way to see how we learn. We always note in the caption when an event is open to the community!

✨ Student Highlight: Brystol✨
Kindness is something Brystol brings with her wherever she goes. Through Brystol’s Kindness Mission, she’s helping spread positive messages and reminders that even small acts of kindness can make someone’s day a little brighter.
We love seeing our students use their voices and ideas to make a difference in our community. Brystol is a great example of how one student can inspire others simply by choosing kindness!
Keep spreading that positivity, Brystol — we’re proud of you! 💛

We’re heading to see the Charlotte Hornets — and this is more than just a game.

Students will get pregame lower bowl access (just 4 rows from courtside 👀), a behind-the-scenes arena tour, and a Q&A about careers in professional sports before the game even starts.

After that, we’ll head to our seats and enjoy the game together — on the same night as Dell Curry’s jersey retirement. Pretty special night to be there. ✨

🎟 Tickets start at $25 + taxes/fees per person
🕓 Plan to arrive by 4:45 PM for 5:00 PM pregame access
🚗 Parking available across the street

RSVP soon — final headcount is due Friday! ⚡🏀

Curiosity in motion. 🎈🚗

Balloon powered cars + curious minds = a pretty awesome experiment.

Designing, testing, tweaking, and trying again — exactly how real learning happens.

Swipe to see the process!

There’s something special about a school day at the ballpark ⚾💛

On March 11 at 11:30, we’re touring the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers stadium — behind the scenes!

⚾ Suites.
⚾ Dugouts.
⚾ The field.

Not just watching from the stands…
actually stepping up to the plate ✨

It’s the kind of experience that builds confidence in quiet ways.
The kind they’ll talk about all the way home.

$5.39 per person to attend
For both students and parents 💛

March is here, the weather’s warming up, and we’re taking learning outside 🍃☀️

🐎✨ Meet the Herd — Talent Day at Horse Shadow Run
A day on a real horse farm in Charlotte where students get hands-on with the horses, brush manes, learn how to safely approach and care for them, and experience everyday barn life up close.

This isn’t a stand-and-watch kind of thing. It’s calm energy, curious questions, a little dirt on your shoes, and lots of “wait… this is so cool” moments 🐴💛

✨ Free for Talent School families
✨ Open to ALL ages & parents
✨ Perfect for hands-on learners
