I like so many 23 years ago stopped what we were doing and just stared at the television. Our world stopped as the day unfolded.
I have been to New York many times before and walked under the shadows of these towers.
I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful and moving memorial that stands in their place.

Today, we celebrate the symbol of our nationās unity and freedomāthe American flag. Flag Day, observed on June 14th, commemorates the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States on this day in 1777. For over two centuries, the American flag has represented the enduring values of liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness.
The flagās 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies, while the 50 stars symbolize our 50 states. Each star and stripe is a reminder of the sacrifices made for our country and the ongoing commitment to uphold the principles of democracy and freedom. šŗšøāØ
Flag Day is more than just a celebration of a piece of cloth; itās a day to reflect on our nationās history, honor those who have served, and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy. From waving flags in parades to displaying them proudly at homes and businesses, today is a day to come together and show our patriotism.
As we honor the flag, letās also remember the people and events that have shaped our nation. From the brave soldiers who fought for our independence to the leaders who have guided us through times of change, the flag is a testament to our resilience and unity.
How can you celebrate Flag Day?
Display your American flag at home or in your yard.
Attend a local Flag Day ceremony or parade.
Teach your children about the history and significance of the flag.
Reflect on what the flag means to you and your family.
Letās take a moment to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy and the symbol that unites us all. Wishing everyone a proud and patriotic Flag Day! šŗšøš
