Jon D. Williams Cotillions Founded in 1949, the nationally recognized Jon D. Williams Cotillions has been teaching social skills

In today's competitive society, those with well-developed social skills have a tangible advantage in virtually every aspect of their lives. These skills empower individuals to feel comfortable with themselves and others, to communicate more effectively, and to set a leadership example in school, work opportunities, or in any social situation, promoting personal growth, confidence and character. Wh

ile academics are essential to everyone’s future, similar studies conducted by Harvard University, Stanford Research Institute and The Carnegie Foundation indicate that over 85% of one’s career success is directly connected to one’s social skills. All of our students are taught social dances which aids the instruction and reinforces the social skills education that we pride ourselves on. Dance breaks down inhibitions, teaches physical respect, develops confidence, establishes teamwork and cooperation, reinforces non-verbal and verbal communication, and teaches the students how to appropriately interact with the opposite gender in a structured and healthy environment. JDW classes are directed by an exceptional staff of instructors, who not only teach at primary and secondary school levels – but also at university, business and corporate levels. Their objective is to contribute to their students' characters by building a foundation of social awareness for future relationships and lifetime success.

The Psychology of Color: GREEN

When our students choose their attire, they are subliminally choosing how they want to show up for themselves and their peers. Color psychology affects both personal mindset and external perception. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Green lets their peers know they are a reassuring, stable presence in the room. Someone who navigates social spaces with ease and composure.💚

The Psychology of Color: ORANGE

When young adults understand the subtle language of how they present themselves, they begin to build a new level of real-world confidence.🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Orange attire radiates warmth, approachability, and a creative enthusiasm that makes everyone around them feel more welcome. It’s a color for breaking the ice and building genuine connections.🧡

The Psychology of Color: YELLOW

We love seeing our students find the balance between traditional elegance and their own expressive, modern flair. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Choosing yellow tells the world that they’re approachable, forward-thinking, and ready to look at every social situation with a bright, positive perspective. 💛

Pre-teen parents know this is the highest form of praise!

In reality, 93% of students believe Cotillion has helped them feel more confident in meeting new people. (Based on our most recent survey results from the 2025-26 season.)

As parents, you know it's not always about what they want when it comes to experiences, but about giving them the experiences that build the skills that will set them up for success in life.

The best endorsement comes from the students themselves. 💙

One of our favorite parts of Cotillion is watching children discover that confidence grows through connection, conversation, and having fun along the way. We can't wait to welcome more smiling faces this upcoming season. ✨🤝

Introducing our new series: The Psychology of Color. 🎨

Starting with RED!

First impressions are made in a matter of seconds, and before a single handshake is exchanged, attire and appearance do the talking.🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Red projects an immediate sense of bold self-assuredness and vibrant energy. It’s the perfect choice for a student who is ready to step onto the floor, take up space, and lead with absolute confidence!❤️
