I am a Certified Teacher in the Lake Norman area with a masters degree in special education and a focus in Orton Gillingham reading instruction. I have 10+ Years of teaching experience and offer support and individualized instruction for all subjects grades K-8th! I’ve been serving children in the Denver area since 2017!

We will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays 9-11AM. All materials are provided. Learning will be hands on in a small group setting and some one on one instruction will be offered. We will cover a variety of math concepts and basic foundational skills for reading. This is a great way to review what was taught in school this year and prepare your child for the up coming school year!

The cost of the program is $125 a week per child (sibling discounts available) The program runs from June 4th through August 8th.

⭐️One on one tutoring is also available for children k-8th this summer! The rate for one on one is $50/hr.

I have been seeing a bunch of posts looking for tutoring, help with homeschooling or co-ops.
Exceptional Minds LKN does all of the above!

We currently have two seats in our homeschool co-op for the spring semester. We meet Monday-Thursdays 9-12 and cover all the homeschool material needed for your child each week. Limited homework is sent home each week. I plan my lessons in a way that allows me to cover all the material each day to give some relief at home.

We also have a few after school spots open for one on one tutoring. I offer tutoring grades k-8th grade and some high school subjects (no high school math)

I have been serving families in this area since 2015 and would love to meet some new families next year!

I am an approved NCSEAA provider meaning if your child received the educational grant this year- you are allowed to use your funds to pay for my services!

Today was the first day of the new school year for Exceptional Minds Academy, and of course I wouldn’t start it any other way! We read The Junkyard Wonders by Patricia Polacco one of my all time favorite books and such a special one. I love it so much that I got a huge canvas for my classroom wall with my favorite quote from the story and I remind my students of it every day!

Each child that steps foot into my classroom is full of potential! Although they may each be a little different they are all so very special! Today after reading the story I had each of them draw a picture of what they want to be when they grow up and to share with the class. What a great memory I got to share with each of them. I love each and every one of my students and so glad to have them in my class this year! To all my students past and present always remember to reach for the stars! 🌟you have to believe in yourself and try your best and I promise you that you will go far! ❤️ I hope everyone has a wonderful school year!

The schedule and tuition is as follows:
Camp will run beginning the week of June 5th and go through August 11th.
Schedule is Tues/Thurs 10am-12pm 50$ a day. Your child is welcome to pack water and a snack and will get a break in between learning.

I am excited to announce that Exceptional Minds Academy is enrolling for the upcoming school year!

Exceptional Minds Academy is a co-op style learning. It offers all the necessary learning the state requires but in a small group setting! There will be no more than 5 students per age group. we meet 3 days a week from 9-12pm. Learning is offered in a variety of ways. We do lots of hands on activities and have a variety of media/manipulatives for learning! All learning will be done in class each week! The other days at home are used for reinforcement/review and however families see best to homeschool.

In addition- I will be offering a summer reading & math co-op for grades K-2 3/4 and 5/6 grade. We will meet one day a week for 2 hours! This is a great option for kiddos who need a refresher/continued learning before the up coming school year.

And as always I will be offering one on one tutoring for anyone in need!

We are just a few short weeks away from the end of the school year. Hello Summer! ☀️ 🏖️ That being said I am offering end of the year testing for any homeschool families needing this service.

If you are interested in having your child tested please reach out to make an appointment!

I will be offering end of year testing the last week of May & the first week of June. If those weeks don’t work for your family we can set something up for an alternate date that works for you.

Application window opens Feb 1st and closes March 1 to be considered as a “priority case” applications may be accepted after the March 1st deadline but no guarantee it will get approved for the 2023-2024 school year.
