Jumping Nanny

I am a highly experienced nanny with decades of experience caring for children ages infant-teens, seeking additional nanny work. Preferably 1-3 days/week, but open to other scenarios. For the exception of occasional care, I do request to be paid on the books via a payroll service. Open to long and short term positions. In addition to my nanny work, I am also a musician and arts educator which has been a huge benefit to my former nanny families!! Do reach out to me with any interest, thanks in advance!

I’d love to hear from nannies what lesson or quality they have modeled for their nanny kids? I got thinking about this after reading about a nanny who had engaged her nanny kids in helping organize their house on a Monday morning after a really chaotic weekend. Her MB was so appreciative (as this was above and beyond the nanny’s typical responsibility) and almost in tears with the kindness her nanny and children showed. The nanny modeled the importance of patience and kindness, the mother modeled showing appreciation.

For me, I remember a former employer commenting how big an impression my volunteer work was to his children. While already working 60 hours a week as a nanny, I spent another two evenings a week tutoring English to Haitian immigrants in our community. The children saw an example of giving back to one’s community and making time for something important even when we have little free time. It meant so much to me that my employer had felt this way and shared with me his sentiments!

The children we care for are always watching and taking in what they see around them. What is something meaningful your nanny kids have learned from you? I’d love to hear!!
