On Saturday, we gathered at the Alliance Française de Denver to celebrate Jeffrey Richards and his remarkable nearly 20 years of service as Honorary Consul of France for the State of Colorado (2007–2025). It was a truly special occasion to honor his dedication and the lasting impact he has had on the French-American community in Colorado.

The night features three remarkable acts: Hot Club of Olde Town brings the spirit of Django Reinhardt to life with electrifying gypsy jazz swing; Les Catherines weave English, French, Spanish, and more into a rich, multicultural acoustic tapestry; and Julien Xuereb, a French guitarist and singer-songwriter, moves seamlessly between classical elegance and heartfelt original music.

What an unforgettable evening! Last Friday, we celebrated 129 years of the Alliance Française de Denver at our annual fundraising Gala, Soirée Cannes, held at the History Colorado Center, and truly, there was no better place to mark this milestone. As a cornerstone of French language and culture in Denver for over a century, the Alliance is part of this city's history, and it felt only right to celebrate within its walls.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over $30,000, more than ever before. This is a reflection of your passion for our mission and your belief in what we are building together.

A special week at the Alliance Française de Denver! We were proud to welcome the team of the Consulate of France in Los Angeles to our offices for a tournée consulaire from April 27 to May 1. French citizens from across Colorado were able to renew their passports, update their documents, and access essential consular services, right here in Denver. Merci to the consulate team for making this possible, and to all the French community members who came through our doors!
