We are so proud of the Class of 2026. They are the first pioneers of JPG. Four years ago, when we opened our doors, they took a true leap of faith. These students and their families stepped into something whose fruits they could not yet see.

Four years later, not only do we see those incredible fruits, we are experiencing them. Our graduates are prepared to enter the world as confident, faithful young men and women, ready to be lights of Christ wherever they go. Their legacy will forever be woven into the story of JPG, and we cannot wait to see the impact they will have on the Church and the world.

Summer is here, and we have been taking time to reflect on the incredible growth that JPG has experienced over the past four years.

This school began because one remarkable man was profoundly transformed by Christ and believed that the younger generation could be the difference the world needs. St. John Paul the Great stands as both our patron and a witness to the impact young people can have on the world. He proclaimed to the world that they are the leaders of the New Evangelization.

Just under 30 years after St. John Paul II stepped foot in Denver, JPG opened its doors to its first class of freshmen. Two years later, after a community came together to continue building upon our patron's legacy, we opened Phase II, which included a beautiful chapel dedicated to Mater Ecclesiae and an auditorium that students will enjoy for generations to come. Two years after that, we broke ground on a new gymnasium and additional classrooms.

Christ's presence is evident every day at JPG. It is often said that God does not work through addition but through multiplication, and that truth is clear when we look at how far our school has come in such a short time. He has multiplied the fruits of this mission beyond what we could have imagined, and we are excited to see what He has in store for the future.

Last week, we celebrated the incredible achievement of our seniors becoming the first graduating class of St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School. During graduation, we were honored to hear Fr. Brian Larkin deliver a powerful message to our seniors. As the legacy of St. John Paul II lives on, so too will the legacy of these remarkable young men and women.

The day before our first-ever graduation, we celebrated the Baccalaureate Mass at the Cathedral with our seniors and Bishop Jorge Rodriguez. The Mass was powerful and filled with emotion as we watched our first class of seniors prepare to graduate.

The Gospel fit the moment perfectly as we reflected on Jesus asking Peter to “feed my sheep,” concluding with the words, “Follow me.” Seniors, we entrust you into the Lord’s hands as you head off to do great things.

Mr. Duncan shared about the importance of not being distracted by the "ordinary times." There is nothing ordinary about the call to Christ. It is deeply radical and of upmost importance for our lives. Thank you Mr. Duncan for sharing your powerful Christian witness.
