The most important thing to me is supporting Ukraine right now. There are charities and creative ways to give directly to its citizens. You can book a stay on Airbnb and pay locals that way. There are many many many ways to do something.
This is the last of the memorization. Day 15. It’s going to be fun to play it slow and clean for a few days. Then it gets real. I’m curious to see how hard it will be adding speed and organization to the sound.
Day 14. Second to last day of memorization. This part of the score is the only time I have ever seen each hand having its own grand staff.
Day 13. I’m still in the thick of the injury inducing material. I’m taking it slow because I don’t want to play this part any more than I need to.
Day 12 of the prelude in c #. This part of the piece can cause injuries. I try to l play it once a day. I don’t think my hands could do it more than a couple tries. Rachmaninoff famously could play a 12!
Day 10 of memorizing Rachmaninoff. Only 4 days left.
Day 9 of memorization! Just a few days away from wrapping up this piece!
Day nine’s material on the prelude in C # minor. At this point everything left is a variation of a previous idea. I’m getting excited to even it all out and speed it up.
