Some more photos from the laying out ceremony yesterday. Laying out means the remains of the process from human composition are spread in a special area to nourish the soil and help restore the area. The compost is mixed with seeds of native plants. The ceremony was very special and there are 16 more people currently awaiting their process of composition to be completed after it was legalized in Colorado last year. Colorado was the second state to do so. What an eco-friendly alternative to traditional burials or cremations.
