We wanted to share this video speech with you all and celebrate the success of Israel receiving his diploma.

Speech Details:
Today, we celebrate a very special milestone at Arise Academy, the graduation of our very first senior, Virgilio Israel Mejia Vásquez.

Four years ago, Virgilio came to HopeOnline from Guatemala without knowing English. What once seemed impossible became possible through determination, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Using every tool available to him, including technology to overcome the language barrier, he never stopped moving forward toward his dream of earning his diploma.

Even through some of the hardest moments of his life — the loss of his father and grandmother within months of each other — and while working full-time evenings during his final two years of school, Virgiliocontinued to fight for his future.

Today, his story stands as a testimony of courage, resilience, and strength. Virgilio, your journey reminds us all that no obstacle is greater than a determined heart.

We are incredibly proud of you. Congratulations, Class of 2026 — and especially congratulations to you, Israel.

As we proudly say, “¡Sí se puede!”

Congratulations Israel.

There are truly no words to fully express how proud and grateful we are for Virgilio Israel Mejía Vasquez, our very first high school graduate at Arise Academy. Despite the language barrier, the long hours of work, and even the heartbreaking loss of his father and grandmother within months of each other, he continued to push forward with strength and determination.

It is such an honor and joy to witness such a resilient, courageous, and victorious young man reach this milestone. Israel, your story has already inspired so many, and this is only the beginning. Your journey is a reminder that perseverance, faith, and hard work can overcome even the hardest seasons.

Congratulations, Israel! We are beyond proud of you. Your story is not finished yet. . 🤍👏🏼

Congratulations to our 8th grade boys! We are so proud of the young men you are becoming. It has been such a privilege and honor to work with young men who are willing, obedient, and above all, extraordinary. May your light continue to shine wherever you go. We are beyond proud of you both! Never forget that no matter what comes your way, you can and always will rise to the occasion.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories, laughs, and adventures. Wishing you nothing but success and blessings in all your future endeavors. Congratulations, Alan and Victor!
