Imagine your brain completely shutting down from overwhelm– that’s what an autistic meltdown feels like this video breaks it down in such a relatable way the more we understand the more compassionate we can be🤍

Sometimes it just takes a little understanding to make a big difference 💙 This amazing bus driver met her student where he felt safe — through Fortnite — and turned a tough moment into a win.

That’s the average rating law enforcement officers give IWD when asked if they’d recommend it to others.

Thank you to all of our first responders working today! We wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July! Please don’t do stupid things that put people at risk!
Such as:
holding fireworks in your hands,
aiming fireworks at people,
drinking and driving,
drinking and boating,
drinking and setting off fireworks,
and all of the other stupid things that involve drinking and explosive devices.

Wishing you a safe and joyful Fourth of July!
Today we celebrate community, freedom, and the people who make it all possible.
From all of us at Pulse Line Collaborative Training — Happy Independence Day! 🎆

Most disabilities aren’t immediately visible.
You might not see that someone is autistic, has an intellectual disability, or is experiencing sensory overwhelm.
You might not recognize communication barriers or the signs of an oncoming meltdown.
You might interpret behavior as “refusal,” “resistance,” or “suspicious”—when it’s actually disability-related.
This is why awareness matters.
It’s not about labeling people — it’s about understanding that what you don’t see can be just as important as what you do.

In a high-stress situation, someone may seem defiant, evasive, or uncooperative — when in reality, they may be overwhelmed, nonverbal, or struggling to process instructions.
💡This is why disability-informed training matters. If we rely on appearances alone, we risk missing critical needs and escalating situations.
