Tasty Food Summer Meal Program
Beginning June 1, 2026, free meals will be available for all youth ages 3–18 at participating locations across Denver through August 21, 2026. No registration or ID is required. Please share the attached English and Spanish flyers with students and families.

Back-to-School Shopping Experience – Southeast Community Hub
FACE will be hosting a Back-to-School Shopping Experience to help students prepare for the 2026–27 school year. Families will be able to receive backpacks and grade-level school supplies in a welcoming shopping-style environment.

Registration is required. Families must complete the interest form and will be contacted to schedule an appointment during the week of August 10–14, 2026. See details in attached photos.

Below are the operational hours and essential services available to all Denver community members and DPS families this summer for the Southeast Community Hub at Place Bridge Academy:

🕒 SE HUB - Summer Hours of Operation
JUNE: Open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

JULY: CLOSED

AUGUST 1 onward: Re-opening on regular hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Benefits Assistance: Apply for assistance with food, Colorado Works, TANF and Healthcare.

📋 SE HUB - Essential Summer Services Offered (At No Cost)
Food & Clothing: Access to our boutique/market for fresh food, toiletries, and clothing.

Household Items: Essential items to support families at home.

Energy Assistance: Help with utility and electricity payments in partnership with Energy Outreach Colorado.

Job & Career Support: Workforce and career advancement support, including resume building and job search assistance.

Dental & Health Appointments: Health and dental care services coordinated through the Denver Health Mobile Clinic and on-site providers.

Now Live: Free Summer Money Skills Online!
We are excited to partner with Young Americans Center to offer our families a free online program to learn about money! From May 1st through September, students can log in at home to learn how to bank, budget, and invest. The lessons are fun, easy to do alone, and kids can even earn digital badges as they finish each level. It’s a great way to build real-life skills over the summer break. As we prepare for the end of the school year, the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team is already looking ahead to help students start next year ready to learn and succeed!

We are excited to invite you to our NEW 2026–27 Back-to-School Shopping Experience. This year, we’ve redesigned the event to give families a more relaxed and personalized experience at our Community Hubs.

What is the Back-to-School Shopping Experience?

It is a free one-stop shopping experience where students can pick out grade-level backpacks and school supplies in a welcoming and stress-free environment.

All DPS families are welcome.

How it works (by appointment)

To help families avoid long lines and have enough time to shop comfortably, visits will take place by scheduled appointment during the week of August 10–14, 2026.
Sign Up: Complete the interest form using the link below.
Schedule Your Visit: A team member will contact you before August 10–14 to schedule your shopping day and time.
Enjoy the Experience: On your scheduled day, bring your student’s ID number (lunch number) and enjoy the experience.

Read and Rise events celebrate families' cultures and traditions as strengths that support literacy development. We will have free food, books, and giveaways for every family that attends!
