Professor PK's Classroom: PROVOCATION!! ๐
This week in the classroom Professor Petri explores FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS.
This PROVOCATION project is a great activity to observe and test your child or students responses to how patterns work. Take the time after setting activity up to listen and watch children explore and communicate the colors of the beads. Ask questions to stimulate what it would be like to arrange colors in a sequence pattern if children are struggling to get to this process.
Instructions โ๏ธ
Provide students with a bowl of pony beads and chenille sticks (pipe-cleaners).
Allow students to choose the color of their bracelet (chenille stick).
Add beads to the chenille stick.
Demonstrate patterns or provide examples of patterns and ask the students to create a pattern for their friendship bracelet.
Students can trade bracelets or make as a gift for someone special.
