While so much pressure is put on our students about Junior year, it can also be a great time to show potential colleges how you’ll be trending towards graduation. Colleges understand just how much high school students can grow and change throughout four years, so Junior year gives them a glimpse on not only who you are currently, but the type of student and changemaker you can be. We recommend that our students start building on potential essay topics during this time, focus on your current classes to keep those grades strong, explore your interests to shape your college list, and think about how work or volunteer experiences could make your application stand out. Taking these steps now will not only ease the stress but also set you up for success as a confident, well-rounded candidate.
