Emmy-nominated singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Kishi Bashi breaks new ground as a storyteller and performer, captivating audiences with his unique blend of classical and popular music.
The MSU Denver Department of Music, with support from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, presents the Visiting Artist Series on Music, Race, & Social Justice. Organized by Dr. Elizabeth McLean Macy, Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology and Faculty Fellow in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, this series highlights the work of BIPOC musicians, performers, and scholars.

The annual campus-wide Lunar New Year celebration seeks to unite our committee, the departments and students we represent, and the wider MSU Denver community. Lunar New Year is an event celebrating the first new moon of the year, and is celebrated all over the world. While most commonly associated with Chinese culture, the new moon is also celebrated across Asia and in the diaspora.

With the second half of the semester going strong, the Japanese Club is hosting a Professionally instructed Ikebana workshop, Where you will learn about and experience the art of Ikebana.
Come and join the Japanese Club on April 18th in Plaza M203 at 6:00 PM to experience the time-honored tradition of Ikebana.
Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. The tradition dates back to Heian period, when floral offerings were made at altars, and used to adorn the alcove of a traditional Japanese home.
This event is limited to 25 RSVP's, so make sure to RSVP by April 16th to ensure you get to participate. We look forward to seeing you there!
