On Monday, March 16th Mr. Brian Dino and Mrs. Britney Hermosillo from the DPS Educational Technology Department came and spoke to the 3-5th graders about Digital Citizenship. There are 2 more days to purchase books from our Scholastic Online Fair. Any purchases go towards our book fair totals, which were amazing! If your child was sick that week, this is a great way to spend those eWallet dollars.

Book fair was a huge success! This will help our Polaris library so much! I also really want to thank all the volunteers that helped at the book fair, I couldn't do it without you!
And now we are onto our Read-A-Thon! It was so nice to be able to wear comfy clothes today and to see all the kids in their p.j.'s. We are well on our way to our $60,000 fundraising goal! Keep sending those invites out to family and friends asking them to support our school and keep reading!

Bowls of Community is a student-led, cross-curricular service learning event that brings our Polaris community together through art, empathy, and action. Students explored issues of food insecurity and community care, created ceramic bowls with Ms. Rogers, and invited families and staff to gather for a soup-sharing experience rooted in generosity and connection, with a focus on thinking of others during this season. Through this project, our community donated over 350 pounds of food and more than $300 to Metro Caring, along with dog and cat food for the Colorado Pet Pantry, supporting both people and pets in our community. Bowls of Community highlights the power of collective kindness and the impact students can make when learning extends beyond the classroom.
