Emily & Demi will take us through 40 min of gentle Yin Yoga, 25 min of deep Yoga Nidra, and 25 min of healing sound-bathed savasana!
Yin Yoga is accessible to all-levels and works deeply into the connected tissues and joints. There is an emphasis on relaxation with poses curated to the hips, back, shoulders, hamstrings, and heartspace. The poses will be held for longer periods of time, which is necessary to access the deep healing at the fascia level. ☯️
The Hindi translation of Yoga Nidra is literally “yogic sleep.” Through this guided meditation, you will enter a deep state of self-healing, rest and awakened awareness by switching the nervous system into the parasympathetic (rest & restore). Just a short period of practice can feel like multiple hours of deep sleep and result in spiritual and emotional healing on every level. 💤
We will be using crystal singing bowls throughout the class to provide vibrational frequencies that can transfer through the skin, fluid, and bones. The human body is 70% water, so utilizing these vibrations can support you in full body relaxation and recalibration on evvvvery level - energetically, emotionally, cellularly, physically, and spiritually. 🎵
Please BYOP (bring your own props) and your favorite emotional support clothing. Yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, cozy hoodies, pillows, meditation cushions, etc.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to find parking and allow the group to begin on time 🙏

As a society, we’re in survival mode and largely dissociated from our internal wisdom, felt sense, and the moment. These reactive states can make us feel a sense of chronic spiraling or loss of control over our reality. The result is anxiety, chronic stress, hyper-vigilance, insomnia, depression… the list goes on.
The antidote is to drop out of the head and into the body to promote parasympathetic activation (our sense of safety). Learning this can be difficult, but there is a way to fast-track it.
The combination of breathwork and best practices of set & setting switches off parts of the brain responsible for rumination and excessive thought patterns. This allows us to be more present with our breath, feel safe in our body, tap into the subconscious, and make way for a somatic release of stuck emotions and sensations.
This practice can promote the growth of new neural pathways in the brain (neurogenesis). We can retrain our nervous system, so it defaults to homeostasis rather than fight, flight, or freeze. Like working out any muscle, repetition of this practice allows us to begin toning our ‘muscles’ of awareness and peace for everyday life.
The somatic progress made through this breathwork can move us into higher levels of consciousness and bring greater awareness into our lives. The practice orients us towards a more creatively embodied expression of life, where life is happening for you, not to you.
About the facilitator:
Anjel Carbajal is a Certified Breathwork & Psychedelic Facilitator in the Denver Metro region. He founded Aliento Medicinals, which promotes community building, healing, and accessibility of somatic and entheogenic plant medicines.
Breathwork is a powerful modality that helps individuals catalyze their healing and transformation journeys by connecting them to their inner healer and medicine. Anjel's sessions use a blend of ancient and modern modalities through a somatic-based, trauma-informed approach to address nervous system dysfunction and underlying physiological issues that prevent clients from becoming the creative force behind their lives and producing tangible change.

In this one-hour workshop, we explore how to set intentions by feeling into your heart. Distinct from setting a goal with the mind, this practice of tuning into the heart to guide you can serve you on your journey of self inquiry and is especially helpful when preparing to work with entheogenic medicine. Here we enter into the heart through the practice of Yoga Nidra.
This offering is 100% donation-based 💖
Why set an intention?
Setting intentions brings clarity and focus to one’s purpose for engaging in transformation work, including experiences with entheogenic medicine. When thinking about what you intend to do or to experience, there are so many possibilities.
How do you choose an intention that really serves you? Here the invitation is to tune into your heart instead of your mind.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that restores the body, resets the nervous system, and allows you to access different layers of your human experience. It is a practice that deeply relaxes the body, which opens the mind to become fertile ground for planting seeds of intention.
What will we do?
The experience includes gentle movement, guided meditation, and integrative discussion. All levels are welcome. Come with a yoga mat or a blanket and a beginner's mind, ready to receive.
Please arrive 15 min early to allow the group to settle in and begin on time ⏳

Intro to the practice:

The antidote is to drop out of the head and into the body to promote parasympathetic activation (our sense of safety). Learning this can be difficult, but there is a way to fast-track it.
The combination of microdosing and breathwork switches off parts of the brain responsible for rumination and excessive thought patterns. Combining breathwork with entheogens can promote the growth of new neural pathways in the brain (neurogenesis). Rapé (Peru), pronounced Hapé in Brazil, is a type of sacred s***f used by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. It is a medicine of Focus. Utilized for both grounding and elevation, Rapé is said to heighten the awareness and the senses, clear & align your mind, your instinct & your intuition, and help promote cleansing of the body and soul. Its purpose is to drive away dark thoughts, entities, & bad vibrations while aligning you with your best self.
Rapé is usually made from a variety of sacred to***co leaves, powdered and mixed with different types of herbs and tree ash, then ground into a fine, aromatic powder that is blown into the nostrils.
Its use is ancient and has been prominent in many different cultures throughout time. We specifically celebrate the traditions of its use by indigenous tribes and the caboclos of the forest, who use it for various purposes, including medicinal and ceremonial.
