Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our schools. The future is ours.
It is a privilege to share some wonderful news with our Denver City community.
The Texas Association of School Administrators has named the Denver City ISD Board of Trustees one of the Five Texas Honor School Boards for 2026, one of the highest recognitions a school board can receive in Texas public education.
Selected by a committee of Texas school superintendents, this honor recognizes school boards that demonstrate exemplary leadership, ethical governance, educational improvement, and an unwavering commitment to students. The committee recognized the Denver City ISD Board of Trustees for expanding student opportunities, strengthening educational pathways, supporting meaningful community partnerships, and maintaining a steadfast focus on student success.
This honor celebrates the people who make Denver City ISD special. It honors the commitment of our Board of Trustees, employees, students, families, community partners, alumni, and everyone who believes in the future of our schools. Together, we create an environment where students are encouraged to learn, grow, discover what is possible, and know they are surrounded by people who believe in them.
This recognition belongs to all of Denver City. Our Board of Trustees provides thoughtful leadership and responsible stewardship that help guide our district forward. Together, we share one purpose: creating exceptional opportunities for students.
Student learning remains our North Star. That shared purpose unites our classrooms, campuses, programs, and our community. Through our collective commitment, students build knowledge, confidence, meaningful relationships, and a strong foundation for the future.
This recognition celebrates the values that define Denver City. It celebrates a community that comes together to invest in its children, supports public education, and believes that the future is shaped by the opportunities we create for students today.
Please join us in congratulating the Denver City ISD Board of Trustees on this well-deserved recognition. Denver City ISD will be recognized during txEDCON 2026 this October alongside four other outstanding school boards from across Texas.
Thank you for believing in our students, supporting our schools, and contributing to a community where children are encouraged, valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
Congratulations, Denver City!
