Denver City High School

Under the leadership of Nurse Leslie McLaurin, the LVN nursing school students of DCHS & Odessa College have completed their first year of nursing school!

These students have worked very hard attending class during the summer in Denver City & Odessa and have met clinical requirement hours for their first year.

They will continue nursing school during their senior year & graduate with their LVN nursing certification in July of 2027. Way to go, girls! Keep working hard!

Denver City ISD has finished 24th in the FINAL UIL 3A Lone Star Cup Standings for 2026, placing our district among approximately 230 Class 3A school districts across Texas!

The UIL Lone Star Cup is an honor awarded to school districts that celebrates excellence across academics, athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular programs, recognizing school districts that demonstrate success in multiple areas throughout the year.

Schools earn points throughout the year based on advancement and achievement at the district, regional, and state levels. Those points are combined to determine an overall ranking of schools within each classification across Texas.

Finishing 24th among approximately 230 Class 3A schools places Denver City ISD among the top 10 percent of Class 3A school districts in Texas. This accomplishment reflects the combined efforts of all our programs, activities, and the dedication of our students, teachers, coaches, directors, sponsors, support staff, families, board members, and community.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to the success of Denver City ISD. This achievement belongs to our entire community and is something we should all celebrate.

With a field move to Seminole due to weather concerns, Coach Luis Rodriguez and staff led the Small School Red Team at Greater West Texas Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game.

With our Mustangs Samrey Garcia, Gavin Garcia, and Jose Estrada, the RED Team walked away with the VICTORY 15-5.
