↪️ This week, we're featuring Lydia Hicks, criminal justice senior and recipient of the Rapoport/Friedsam Scholarship, which has empowered her to move into her future with confidence.

“Being a criminal justice student on the pre-law track, I'm very grateful for opportunities like this that allow me to continue pursuing my education and preparing for law school. Receiving this scholarship provides financial support and encourages me to strive toward my future career goals. 🟢 Why I Give 🟢

➡️ This week, we're featuring Larry Klein, a donor whose passion for supporting the UNT College of Music isn’t rooted in having a connection to music or the university at all. He and his wife, Mary Ann, moved to Denton 16 years ago and shortly after attended a salon concert hosted by the College of Music, and he was so struck by the harp players that the Kleins have now endowed two scholarships and included UNT in their estate plans.

✨ “My hope is that the benefactors of the gifts I have made, and the gifts that are yet to come, is that those musicians will recognize that it was a gift that allowed them to pursue their dream of making music, and that they will continue in their life to share their gift with others.”

Recently, OLLI at UNT closed out the summer run of the Debbie & Neal Smatresk OLLI After Five Series with a visit from Ben Franklin Live!

↪️ In this immersive lecture, Ben Franklin's journey is brought to life, revealing how curiosity and determination carried a boy with only two years of formal education from obscurity to global influence as a philosopher, scientist, diplomat and statesman.
