Getting ready to take your TExES exams? Make sure you take a practice exam to discover the competencies you should be studying prior to your real test! Our office offers practice exam sessions to current UNT students one Saturday every month, as well as individual appointments during the week. Slots fill up quickly, so be sure to sign up and come to your appointment! Use the calendar feature on our website to find available days/times. Registration for April dates will open the last week of March.

UNT's Testing Center is now offering the actual TExES exams! They already filling up spots for December, so be sure to sign up fast if you want to take your exam in Denton during December. You will register for and schedule the exams through your Pearson testing account at

Starting in December 2020, the UNT Testing Center located in the Gateway will begin to offer the TExES certification exams. Within the next few weeks, the Testing Center will appear in the appointment availability finder and you will be able to schedule your exams at the center (subject to availability).

UNT President Neal Smatresk has just issued a statement that UNT is taking precautionary measures against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) by canceling all in-person classes for the week of March 16-22nd. Students are encouraged to stay off-campus during this time.

As a result, the TExES Success Office has decided to cancel the in-person practice exam scheduled on March 20th.

We plan to resume testing on March 28th so long as the UNT administration does not extend the postponement of events beyond the end of next week. There are seats still available if you would like to sign up for the March 28th practice exam. Please register at https://coe.unt.edu/events/texes-practice-exam-11 if you plan to attend.

We have some exciting new things coming at you this semester!! If you are an EC-6 student at UNT, don't miss our TExES Core Subjects EC-6 Workshop on September 20th from 9am to 2pm. Our expert faculty will be there to talk about how to pass each domain of the exam. Sign up on our website (coe.unt.edu/texes)!

We will also be adding 4 additional practice exams on Fridays throughout the semester! Dates and registration will be available soon!
